So last Sunday was this year’s Condura Skyway Marathon. Of course, we all know that CSM is one of the major marathon event that most if not all Pinoy runners have been anticipating every year. According to the organizers, there were around 15,000 runners who registered for CSM this year. The 42K runners alone totalled to around 4K-5K. So, if this is an indication of the event’s success, we could definitely say that the CSM 2016 was indeed very successful. This year’s McHappy Day Stripes Run by McDonald’s Philippines will be happening on December 5, 2015 (Saturday). It will be held again at the Bonifacio Global City. Also, similar with last year, McHappy Day Stripes Run will have 6 categories namely – > 1K, 3K, 3K Family, 5K, and 10K.

The UP Junior Marketing Association is holding this fun running and food event called, Dash N’ Dine on May 3, 2015 at the UP Academic Oval. This fun running event is composed of two segments, the fun run and the food bazaar. Of course, we are runners here, so our interest is on the fun run segment.
So, the Dash event will have 3K, 5K and 10K categories. For 10K runners, expect to do at least four or five rounds of the Academic Oval to complete the 10K distance.Registration fees for all three categories is Php 450 which includes singlet and race bib, entrance to the food bazaar and freebies from sponsors. There you have it folks. The 2015 running season has just started last Sunday via the first race in this year’s Run United series. Run United 1 happened last Sunday with around 5,000 Pinoy runners who joined the 5K, 10K and 21K categories. It was a good, not-so-hot, not-so-cold Sunday morning. Perfect weather to establish new PRs, run with friends, run with the Unilab ActiveHealth pacers or simply to get rid of some unwanted calories off your body.
Runrio has just announced that the registration for the 38th Milo Marathon Finals has now started online. The event will be held on December 7, 2014 at the SM Mall of Asia. For those who joined the Metro Manila Eliminations earlier this year and has qualified for either the 21K and 42K categories, there’s no need to register. While for the rest of us who didn’t make it, we can only register for either the 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K event. Our participation will be non-competitive and will be just for fun or perhaps for establishing new personal best in our chosen category.
