Already on its 8th year, the TNF100 Philippines 2016 is happening on April 30-May 1 in Baguio-Benguet. The starting/finish line and base camp of the TNF100 Philippines 2016 will be inside the Camp John Hay. There will be four categories in this event namely, 100KM, 50KM, 22KM and 11KM. But of course, since this is a trail run, expect each of these categories to be tougher than your usual road runs. Continue reading “Break All Boundaries, the TNF100 Philippines 2016 is on!” (1450)
So, this is going to be my second marathon event this year, the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016. Although I joined the Nat Geo Earth Day Run 2015, I was too exhausted and psychologically beaten up upon reaching SM MOA that I decided not to cross the finish line. This time around, I won’t let this happen again. I promise to finish the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016 and cross the finish line no matter what state I’ll be in. Last Sunday my wife and I decided to spend our Valentine’s morning by joining the Run for Life: A Love Run. This running event was organized by DLSU students to raise funds for their project of building a day care center somewhere in Bulacan. The event had three categories namely, 3K, 5K and 10K. We joined the 10K race which started a bit later than what was announced at around 5:35 a.m. The gun start was at the 34th Avenue in BGC and the route went around BGC with the 10K turn around going as far as the Kalayaan Flyover. So, my first half-marathon race this year happened last Sunday when I joined the PSE Bull Run 2016. It was held at the Bonifacio Global City with the race route covering the usual areas in BGC, and reaching as far as the PNR, Bayani Road up to somewhere in the area of Heritage Park. The route also passed through the new McKinley West where runners face a meters of uphill terrain. Overall, the race route during the PSE Bull Run 2016 was a good one. It was the perfect running event to kick-off this year’s running season.
If you joined the PSE Bull Run 2016, results are now available here.
Last Sunday, I joined the Men’s Health Philippines Urbanathlon held at Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. It was my first time to join the urbanathlon and also my first time to join a foot race with several obstacles along the way. This year’s Men’s Health Urbanathlon only has one distance category, a 10K route that was a mix of road and trail route, mud pits and 15 obstacles along the way. It was a tough race indeed and yet I enjoyed very much. Continue reading “Men’s Health Urbanathlon: Survival of the Fittest race report” (1324)
So last Sunday, I joined this year’s Pinoy Fitness Sub-2 21K Challenge. This is my first time to join this running event and despite the fact that I failed to reached the finish line in under 2 hours last year, I tried to achieve it again this year. Unfortunately I failed again. I reached the finish line last Sunday with an official chip time of 2:14 minutes. Last year, my chip time was 2:00:46. Yes, I run faster last year than this year. Or maybe not. The route this year in the SM MOA area is probably longer than last year in BGC. Still, I enjoyed the race and I will definitely try to beat it next year. Yes, I will be joining this year’s Men’s Health Urbanathlon on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Nuvali in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Thank you to Summit Media for giving me the chance to experience this event. I’ve read and hear so many feedbacks from previous MH Urbanathlon and to be honest I don’t know what to feel. It’s a mix of excitement and at the same time nervousness. Yes, this is my first time to tackle an obstacle race and I’m hoping that my running and biking regimen will be enough to get me to the finish line with no injuiries and bruises.
If you’re joining the MH Urbanathlon this Sunday, here’s what you should be doing five days before the urbanthlon. Props to Men’s Health Philippines for sharing these tips. Continue reading “5 Tips to Help You Prepare for the Men’s Health Urbanathlon on Sunday!” (2743)
