My second half-marathon for this year was at the SMDC Run 2018 which happened, obviously at the SM MOA grounds. From what I heard yesterday, this is the 4th year of the said running event. And it also happens to be my first time to join the said event. SMDC Run 2018 was organized by Leadpack and Takbo.ph and of course, SMDC.
There were 21K, 10K and 5K running categories. The 21K event started on time at exactly 4:00 am. The route was a straight single loop that brought the runners all the way to the foot of the Kalayaan fly-over where the turn-around was located. The race route traversed the Pasay-Makati area via Buendia extension and Buendia proper all the way to Kalayaan fly-over.
Overall, the race route was good. There were hydration stations at strategic locations. The race marshalls were all participative and were cheering the runners as they passed by. There were enough police enforcers ensuring the safety of the runners especially on busy intersections. Props to the race organizers for a well-organized event, and congratulations to all the finishers.
Now, let’s all wait for the photos to be uploaded by the official photographers and volunteer photographers. I saw several members of Running Photographers along the route. I hope they took lots of photos.
Thank you to @archangel_119 for my shot. Keep shooting sir! (861)
