So, this is going to be my second marathon event this year, the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016. Although I joined the Nat Geo Earth Day Run 2015, I was too exhausted and psychologically beaten up upon reaching SM MOA that I decided not to cross the finish line. This time around, I won’t let this happen again. I promise to finish the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016 and cross the finish line no matter what state I’ll be in.
For those of you who are looking for a good marathon event for April, the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016 will be held on April 17, 2016 at the BGC. Based on the route map provided by the NatGeoRun2016 FB page, it looks like the starting line (at 9th Avenue, BGC) will be different from its finish line (McKinley Hill). That goes for all the categories of the event – 5K, 10K, 21K and 42K. To be honest, I’m not really sure whether this is a good idea or not since if you will be parking your cars in the BGC area, that means you’ll have to find your way back after finishing the run. Hopefully, the organizers will provide free shuttle service for those who need to go back to BGC to get their cars.
More details about the NatGeo Earth Day Run 2016 are available from their Facebook Page. Unfortunately, the official website is not yet activated. And so is the online registration which supposed to start today until the end of this month.
