If there’s one running event that I’m looking forward to this year, it has to be the Pinoy Fitness 21K Challenge that will be held on November 16, 2014 at the Bonifacio Global City. Online registration for the Pinoy Fitness 21K Challenge is now open and judging by the interest of fellow Pinoy runners in this event, I’m pretty sure slots will fill up fast. So, click this link and register now if you want to take your running to the next level.
What makes this 21K run so special? Well, the Pinoy Fitness Challenge will only have 21K distance category but it will be composed of three waves. These waves are as follow:
- 21K SUB-2XU Wave (2 hour cut-off)
- 21K Challenge Wave (2:30 hour cut-off)
- 21K Fun Wave (No cut-off)
In addition to these three individual waves, there will also be a Team Challenge where you have to form a group of five registered runners to compete as a team in either SUB-2XU, Challenge or Fun Waves.
I registered for the 21K SUB-2XU Wave because I want to aim for a sub-2 finish. My fastest 21K was at 2:03 hours so I really need to train well to beat the 2-hour cut-off in my category.
Registrations fees for the Pinoy Fitness 21K challenge are as follow:
- 21K Challenge Wave – P950 (Inclusive of Singlet, Pinoy Fitness Finisher’s shirt, 21K Medal for Qualifiers)
- 21K Fun Wave – P850 (Inclusive of Singlet, Pinoy Fitness Finisher’s shirt)
In-store registration for the Pinoy Fitness 21K Challenge will be on October 1-31, 2014 at Reebok stores in Trinoma, Megamall and and Festival Mall; Runnr BGC and 2XU Flagship Store in Glorietta 3.
For those who are joining the 21K Pinoy Fitness Challenge, we all have than two months to prepare. Train hard and train well, folks!
